Pharmacy First

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by Pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to):

• 👂 Earache / acute otitis media – children aged 1–17 years

• 🩹 Impetigo – aged 1 year and over

• 🦟 Infected insect bites – aged 1 year and over

• 🔥 Shingles – aged 18 years and over

• 🤧 Sinusitis – aged 12 years and over

• 😣 Sore throat – aged 5 years and over

• 🚺 Uncomplicated UTI – women aged 16–64 years
