NHS Flu and Covid Vaccinations (BOTH)
Protect yourself this winter with your seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at Bugbrooke Pharmacy. The flu vaccination is available to adults aged 65 and over and those in eligible clinical risk groups. The COVID-19 vaccination is available to eligible people, including those aged 75 and over and people with a weakened immune system. Where you are eligible for both vaccinations, they can be given at the same appointment for your convenience.

An adult aged 18–64 is eligible for an NHS flu vaccination if they have:
Respiratory disease – including asthma requiring regular steroid inhalers/tablets, COPD or cystic fibrosis
Heart disease – including coronary heart disease or heart failure
Chronic kidney disease
Liver disease – including cirrhosis or hepatitis
Neurological conditions – including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease or cerebral palsy
Diabetes or Addison’s disease
Immunosuppression – for example due to HIV/AIDS, chemotherapy or immunosuppressive steroid treatment
Problems with the spleen – including sickle cell disease or having had the spleen removed
Learning disability
Severe obesity – BMI ≥40
Other NHS-eligible groups
The NHS flu vaccine is also offered to:
Everyone aged 65 or over (including anyone who will turn 65 by 31 March 2027)
Pregnant women
People living in a care home
Unpaid/main carers of an older or disabled person
People who live with someone who has a weakened immune system
People experiencing homelessness, including those using a homeless hostel/night shelter or rough sleeping
Frontline health and social care workers – normally through their employer
NHS COVID vaccination — Autumn 2026
The NHS offer is for:
Adults aged 75 years and over
Residents in care homes for older adults
People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, according to the Green Book definition.
